NOHSL Mission Statement

The North Olmsted Hot Stove Baseball League (NOHSBL) has been the organization providing our area's children, between the ages of 6 and 18, with oganized baseball. We strive to develop, evaluate and disseminate programs that educate our players in the fundamentals and rules of baseball and deepen children's commitment to promote values such as honesty, sportsmanship, fair play and respect for others.

Dick's Website NOHSL would like to thank Dick's Sporting Goods for not only sponsoring a team this year, but also for their generous donation of sports equipment, water bottles, bags and discount coupons for all of our players and teams. Please be sure to visit Dick's for not only your baseball equipment needs, but for other sports and outdoor activities as well.

Have a safe and Happy July 4th Weekend! fireworks

Opening Day Photos are Posted

FOUND: Pair of Nike tennis shoes, white with black swoosh, size 7 that were left in the dugout at North Olmsted Park, field #5. If they're yours and you've been running around barefoot for a while, send an email to Traci and I'll get them back to you.

FYI: Dover Center Road is a nightmare, so if you're running late to your games at NO Park fields, you will want to take an alternate route. I found that out the hard way.

Game Revisions

Please note that the home team is listed second on the schedule and the home team uses the dugout on the side of first base.

6/28/09: Rained out games for H1 League have been scheduled and posted. Changes to the schedules are in red.

6/26/09: Rained out games for H2, G and F Leagues have been scheduled and posted. Changes to the schedules are in red.

As you know, there have been a number of rainouts already this season. In an effort to keep with our policy that our teams will play a minimum of 13 games, it is entirely possible that there will be double headers as well as games scheduled on Sundays. While we do our best to avoid those situations, please understand that we are doing the best we can under the circumstances and, as always, are at the mercy of Mother Nature.

NOHSL Summer Baseball Camp with Mark Thomas

Thank you to everyone who participated in our NOSHL camp with Mark Thomas.

NOHSL Personalized Decal Fundraiser

Show your support for the athletes in your life and you will be supporting Hot Stove at the same time! Hot Stove is sponsoring a fund raiser selling vinyl adhesive decals that will stick on virtually any smooth surface in minutes. Great for things such as car windows, bedroom walls, scrapbooks, and picture frames! You can select from a variety of sports related graphic embellishments (girls and boys) and personalize them with a name and/or number ~ it's a great way to show how proud you are of your athletes! Tell your friends! Tell your neighbors! Tell your relatives! Sell as many as you can so we can raise some money for field improvements. Thank you for your support! For more information, take a look at the Decal Order Form. Please mail your orders to: NOHSL Decals, P.O. Box 156, North Olmsted, OH 44070

If you are not receiving NOHSL's Emails...

Throughout the season, NOHSL emails information to our parents regarding clinics, events and information pertaining to your team. In order for you to receive this information, we'll need to keep your updated email address on file.
Please visit our online Comment Form to join or update your email address. You can also use the form to easily submit questions, comments or input on NOHSL's clinics. Please note that when emails are sent out, they are "blind copied" to protect your privacy and your personal information is kept confidential.

Player's Clinics

up to bat west logo

Thank you to all who attended our clinics held at Up to Bat West. I want to thank Jose, Eddie, Nick, Chuck and Shelly for all of their help in putting on a clinic that our players really enjoyed. You were a pleasure to work with and I appreciate everything you all did to put on a successful set of clinics. I have posted photos of the three clinics we held this year on the "photos" link to the left.

Glove Repair

For anyone who needs their gloves relaced or repaired, feel free to take a look at this Glove Repair Flyer. NOHSL has taken several gloves to this company for repair and has been pleased with the results.

Thank You!

Thank you to both Allstate Insurance and PPG for their generous donations of $500 to our league. We appreciate your support.

Fundraising Programs for 2009

Again this season, NOHSL will participate in two recycling programs that have proven to be successful for our league. One is the "Trash to Cash" program in which we will collect foil juice pouches. The other is our "Cans for Catchers" program where we collect aluminum cans. Both programs will have designated collection bins at our fields. You can learn more about our fundraising programs here.
